What’s new
The latest features and improvements on WA.cr.
- Connect Google Sheets to your flowsYour Auto Flows can now add, update and look up rows in your own Google spreadsheets — including saving WhatsApp Flow form answers.
- A footer that takes you everywhereThe bottom of every wa.cr page is now a proper site map — six tidy columns covering features, channels, solutions, free demos, free tools and the company, with a direct link to this Help centre.
- A Features menu, and a page for every capabilityThe wa.cr header now has a Features menu listing everything the platform does, and each capability has a page of its own — from the shared inbox and broadcasts to templates, contacts, the AI agent and how your data is kept.
- Two new pages: every channel, and everything we connect towa.cr now has a Channels page listing every way customers can reach you — WhatsApp, Instagram and email today, with voice, SMS, Telegram and web chat next — and an Integrations page for the tools you already run.
- See what renting a number gets you, before you sign inA new page on wa.cr walks through renting a business number — the channels it carries, the countries we cover, the starting price and how rent is billed with your plan.
- Top up without leaving the number checkoutIf your wallet is short when renting a phone number, add money right there — you choose the amount, and the number, forwarding and discount code all stay as you left them.
- Number rent now follows your plan's billing periodRenting a phone number now bills exactly to your plan's renewal date — one clear pro-rata charge up front, then rent renews together with your plan, whatever its period.
- Make a WhatsApp link in secondsA free tool that turns a phone number and a message into a wa.me link — one that opens a chat with your message already typed. No sign-up needed.
- Pages no longer jump when you tick a checkboxTicking a checkbox part-way down a long page used to throw the whole screen upward and leave half the window blank. Checkboxes now stay exactly where they are.
- Connect Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 email without app passwordsBring a company mailbox into your shared inbox through Google's and Microsoft's own APIs — an admin connects it once with organisation credentials, and nobody has to generate app passwords.
- Save with a coupon on your planHave a discount code? Enter it when you pick a plan and the price updates before you pay — percentage or flat, one-time or recurring.
- Send a WhatsApp Flow as a broadcastSend an interactive Flow form to a whole segment or list, with data filled in per contact, and see every reply on the flow's Responses page.
- Drop a random value into any messageTwo new variables put a fresh one-off number or code into a broadcast, chat, template or automation — a different one for every recipient.
- WhatsApp Flow answers can update your contacts automaticallyMap a Flow's questions to contact details, tags, lists and unsubscribes — so every submission updates the contact for you, no copy-paste.
- Give teammates access to only their channelsYou can now restrict a Manager, Agent or Viewer to specific channels — they'll only see the chats, messages and contacts for the channels you assign them. The owner always sees everything.
- See your WhatsApp Flows in one placeEvery WhatsApp Flow on your connected numbers now appears in the console — its status, the screens it shows, and what each one collects.
- Instagram comments now match your existing contactsCommenters and mentions no longer create duplicate contacts — they attach to your existing Instagram contact by their @username, and merging offers separate choices for the Instagram ID and username.
- Email images now show up in GmailInline images in email bodies and signatures are now delivered as proper inline attachments, so they render in Gmail and every other mail client — no more blank spots where your logo should be.
- Number masking can now include OwnersThe "View full phone numbers" permission is now editable for the Owner row too — owners keep full numbers by default, but a workspace can explicitly switch them to masked numbers like everyone else.
- Connect mailboxes that sign in with a username or API keyThe email connect form now separates the sign-in from the sender identity — use a login username or API key that differs from your From address, add a From name, and route replies elsewhere with Reply-to.
- Your businesses at a glanceThe business picker now greets you by name and shows each business's channels, health, and verification status on its card.
- Add images to emails from your Media LibraryThe email composer's image button now opens your Media Library — reuse a stored image or upload a new one, and it embeds inline so it always shows in the recipient's inbox.
- Attach files to your emailsSend documents, images and more with your emails — pick from your Media Library or upload a new file, right in the chat composer.
- Name, brand and pause your email channelsGive a mailbox a display name and icon, add a signature to every email, and pause a noisy inbox so it can't flood your chats.
- Write rich emails right from the chatReply to an email conversation with a proper rich-text editor, an HTML mode, and one-click interactive cards.
- Import your past emails when you connect a mailboxOn Growth and up, pick a start date when connecting an email channel and WA.cr brings in your recent email history — in the background, matched to the right contact. Backfilled emails never trigger your automations. Now with Apple iCloud and Yahoo presets too.
- Connect email as a channel — mail lands in your shared inboxConnect a mailbox (Gmail, Zoho, Outlook or your own server) and email threads arrive in the same inbox as WhatsApp — matched to the right contact, ready for your automations. Free, with no per-message charge.
- Add a mobile number to a contactContacts that arrived without a phone number — from Instagram, email or a web form — can now be given a WhatsApp number right from the contact page. If the number already belongs to someone else, we point you to a merge instead of quietly making a duplicate.
- Contact search finds everyone — and flags duplicatesSearching your contacts, including inside the merge tool, now looks across your whole contact book instead of just the most recent ones. And when two contacts share an email address, you'll see a clear duplicate warning on the contact page — one click to review and merge them into a single history.
- Filter and sort your template libraryNarrow your templates by the parts they contain, sort by name or creation date, and see when each template was created.
- Store order notes now appear in the conversationNotes your team writes on a WooCommerce order show up in the customer's chat as private notes — visible to your team, never to the customer.
- Your templates appear as soon as you connect a numberConnecting a WhatsApp number now brings its approved message templates in automatically — no more empty templates page until you press Sync.
- The dashboard now shows every channelThe "Messages by channel" card was leaving Instagram out, and you couldn't filter the dashboard by an Instagram account. Both are fixed, and the whole page is now an all-channels view.
- The reply window now follows the channelThe 24-hour reply window is counted per channel — the one the customer actually messaged you on. An incoming store order no longer opens it, so the chat box stops offering replies that would be refused.
- Instagram now counts everywhere it shouldYour dashboard showed zero for everything when you filtered by an Instagram account, and scheduled replies could be accepted against a reply window that wasn't really open. Both are fixed.
- See when WA.cr Support opened a chatA chat opened by support while helping you is now marked as read by WA.cr Support, instead of showing your own name. Your team's own read marks stay exactly as they were.
- Removed stores free their integration slotA store that disconnected from its side — like uninstalling the Shopify app — used to keep using one of your plan's integration slots. It now frees the slot immediately.
- Your new logo shows up straight awayReplacing your brand logo, a channel icon or your profile picture used to keep showing the old image, no matter how many times you tried. New images now appear immediately.
- We'll warn you if WhatsApp has no payment method for youIf WhatsApp doesn't have a valid card for your account it will refuse to deliver your messages. We now tell you that plainly, before your messages start failing, and offer to sort it out with you.
- See whether your WhatsApp number can actually sendThe account health panel on each channel now shows the whole picture from WhatsApp — sending status, your limits, your account and business IDs, and a time zone you can read.
- See your brand colours before you save — and button text that stays readableSettings → Branding now previews both light and dark mode side by side as you pick, and the text on your buttons automatically switches to whatever stays readable on your colour.
- Switching business keeps you on the same pageSwitch between your businesses and you stay exactly where you were, instead of being dropped back on the dashboard every time.
- Pick a brand colour for light mode and dark mode — suggested from your iconYour brand colour is now two settings instead of one, so your brand looks right whichever mode someone is viewing in. Upload your icon and we suggest a colour for each.
- Choose where WhatsApp stores your message dataPick a country — India and 13 others — and WhatsApp keeps that number's message data at rest there. Set it when you connect a number, or change it any time from the channel page.
- You control when WA.cr Support can sign in to helpSupport can now fix things hands-on by signing in as you — only when you allow it, always time-boxed, and with every action recorded in your activity log. Switch it off anytime.
- See every channel a contact has used, right on the listA contact who reached you on WhatsApp, Instagram and through a store order now shows all three channel circles on the conversation list — not just one.
- Clear a chat, delete single messages, or delete a whole conversationNew cleanup controls in your inbox — clear a chat's messages while keeping the contact, tick and delete individual messages, or delete a whole conversation from the list.
- Act on many chats at once from your inboxTurn on selection from the ⋮ menu, tap each contact's photo to tick it, then archive, mark read or unread, add to a list or assign an agent — for all the chats you picked in one go.
- The Geeks Wing — WA.cr by the numbers, and a thank-you to open sourceA fun new public page, wa.cr/geeks, with the platform's geeky stats presented as museum exhibits and a credits wall thanking every open-source project WA.cr stands on.
- Tidy up your draft broadcastsDelete broadcast drafts you no longer need, straight from the broadcasts list. Scheduled and sent broadcasts stay safely in your history.
- Decide who can delete chats and contactsTwo new role permissions — deleting a chat's history and deleting a contact — so destructive actions only happen when you've explicitly allowed them.
- Know your customer — right inside the chatClick a contact's name in chat to open a side panel with their key details, order history and lifetime value — and edit the contact without leaving the conversation.
- Every store order now shows — and connecting a store stays quietA fix for WooCommerce stores whose synced orders appeared as a single order, plus quieter store connections — importing old orders no longer sends your team an alert for each one.
- Your assigned plan now shows correctly on the billing pageIf your plan was set up for you rather than bought online, your Billing page now shows it as your current plan — with clear upgrade and downgrade options — instead of "no active plan".
- Your brand colour now runs across the console, including chat buttonsSet your brand colour once and it flows across your console — and the tappable buttons inside WhatsApp messages now use it too, instead of a generic green, in both light and dark mode.
- Explore WA.cr hands-on with the new interactive demoThe live demo now lets you take a guided tour of the team inbox and send yourself real messages — or show a client exactly what a chat with your business feels like, on WhatsApp or Instagram.
- Hand over ownership of a business — safely, with consentAn owner can now transfer ownership of a business to a teammate. They only become an owner when they accept, so nobody is made an owner by surprise.

- Set up your product catalogue right after connectingIf you sell products, connecting a WhatsApp number now offers to set up your product catalogue in one click — so customers can browse and buy in the chat.
- Instagram chats no longer create a stray duplicate contactSome Instagram conversations were quietly creating a second, empty contact that looked like a WhatsApp number. That no longer happens, and the empty duplicates have been cleared out.
- Filter a conversation by channelWhen a contact reaches you on more than one channel, pick a channel in the conversation header to see just that channel's messages — or keep All channels to see everything together.
- See your Instagram quick-reply buttons in the inboxThe tappable buttons you send on Instagram now show under the message in your own inbox, and when a customer taps one, their reply shows the question it answered.
- Reconnect a WhatsApp number to refresh its accessIf a connected number's access goes stale, you can now re-authorise it from "Connect with Facebook" — it refreshes the number in place and keeps all your chats and settings.
- First & last names, and an auto-detected country on every contactContacts now have separate first and last name fields alongside the display name, and each one carries a country that fills itself in automatically — with a new Country column and audience filter.
- A one-click Reconnect for InstagramWhen an Instagram account's access expires, its channel page now shows a Reconnect button that signs in again and gets messages flowing — without losing any chat history.
- React to Instagram messages, with typing and seenAdd an emoji reaction to any Instagram message, and let customers see you typing and know when you've read theirs — just like WhatsApp.
- Do more in your Instagram chats — media, buttons and your own postsReply to Instagram DMs with photos, videos, voice notes and documents, add tappable quick-reply buttons, and share your own posts straight into a chat.
- See exactly where each contact came fromContacts now keep a "Seen via" history showing every channel and number they reached you on, and when — and a merge keeps all of it instead of dropping the details.

- Clearer contact sources, and one channel allowance for everythingThe contact book now names exactly where each contact came from — WhatsApp, Instagram, WooCommerce, Shopify — and your plan's channel slots work across every channel type.
- Link contacts to each other with Associated Contact fieldsA new custom-field type connects contacts in your address book — family, colleagues, referrers — and the link is always mutual. Plus every contact now has a copyable ID.
