Hand over ownership of a business — safely, with consent
An owner can now transfer ownership of a business to a teammate. They only become an owner when they accept, so nobody is made an owner by surprise.
You can now hand a business over to a teammate — and they only become an owner once they agree.
What's new
- An owner can offer ownership to any existing team member from your team settings.
- The teammate becomes an owner only when they accept the offer on their account page — they're notified over WhatsApp and email, so nothing happens behind their back.
- Add a co-owner, or step yourself down to admin in the same move — handy when you're passing the business to someone else.
- Ownership can no longer be set from the role dropdown; every change now runs through this consented offer, and a business always keeps at least one owner.
