Several venues, and the chance to say yes first

Appointments can now happen in more than one place — a room, a phone call, a video link, or an address the customer gives you — and any service can arrive as a request you approve before it becomes a booking.

Released 19 August 2026

Appointments used to happen in exactly one place, and every booking confirmed itself. Both are now yours to decide.

What's new

  • Venues. The single "Where appointments happen" box becomes as many places as you actually work: a room with an address and a map link, a phone call, a meeting link for Google Meet, Zoom or Teams, or a note for anything else.
  • Different places on different days. Working hours can belong to a venue, so "Mondays at the clinic, Thursdays on video" is one rota rather than two diaries. Services and people can each be offered at several venues.
  • Venues that ask the customer. Some appointments happen at their address, or on their number. A venue can be set to ask the person booking instead of telling them — so a home visit collects the address, and a call-back collects the number, before the booking is taken.
  • Ask me before confirming. Switch it on for any service and its bookings arrive as requests. The time is held, the customer is told it is a request rather than a booking, and nothing is confirmed until you approve it. Requests waiting sits at the top of your diary with Approve and Decline on each one, and declining sends a short line explaining why.
  • Week and month views. The diary now opens on List, Week or Month, so a whole week or month reads at a glance. Requests stand out, because they are the ones that need you.

Worth knowing

  • Nothing changes if one place is all you have. Whatever your location box already said becomes your main venue, and confirmations, reminders and calendar invites read exactly as before.
  • An unanswered request gives the time back. A request holds its slot for a day and then releases it. It stays in your list, marked, so you can still approve it — worth telling the customer yourself if you do, since they have stopped waiting to hear.
  • Bookings you take yourself skip the approval step. You are the person being asked, so there is no queue of your own work to clear.
  • Removing a venue from someone removes their hours there. The console tells you how many working windows that is before you save.
