Send your own events to Google Analytics from Auto Flows
A new Send to Google Analytics step records the moments that matter to you — a booking confirmed, a quote sent — in your own Google Analytics, beside your website's numbers.
Released 6 October 2026
Auto Flows can now record your own events in Google Analytics — so a booking confirmed in a chat counts in the same reports as a sale on your website.
What's new
- A Send to Google Analytics step. Add it anywhere in a flow, name the event (for example
booking_confirmed) and it's recorded for the contact who reaches that step. - Up to 24 parameters per event. Fill them from the conversation with variables such as
{{contact.name}}or{{var.plan}}. Plain numbers go to Google Analytics as numbers, so you can add up order values. - You choose where it goes. Tick Events from Auto Flows on each linked property that should receive them.
- Checked as you type. The step tells you straight away if Google would throw a name away.
Worth knowing
- Personal details stay out. A value holding an email address, or that is the contact's phone number with or without the country code, is left out automatically.
- It never holds a flow up. The step has one way out and the flow always carries on. Test runs send nothing.
- Browser IDs matter. Events are sent for contacts with a browser ID from your website, or for everyone if your property also sends for contacts with no browser ID. See Connect Google Analytics.
