WA.cr

The Geeks Wing — WA.cr by the numbers, and a thank-you to open source

A fun new public page, wa.cr/geeks, with the platform's geeky stats presented as museum exhibits and a credits wall thanking every open-source project WA.cr stands on.

Released 10 July 2026

WA.cr now has a geek page. Wander the Numbers Museum at wa.cr/geeks — every figure counted straight from the real thing, and every open-source project we depend on thanked by name.

What's new

  • The Hall of Giants — a credits wall for every open-source project that does real work in WA.cr, each with a plain-English line on what it does for you, its licence, and a link to go star it.
  • The Permanent Collection — the platform in numbers: lines of code by language, database migrations, API endpoints, screens, tests and docs, all counted by a script at each release.
  • The Cadence Room — a day-by-day heat strip of how fast the platform ships, with release markers.
  • Physical exhibits — what the codebase would mean in keyboard hours and printed paper (please do not print it).
  • The Thought Experiment — a 1981 textbook formula's estimate for writing this much software, next to what a tireless machine would take. Both printed with a straight face.

Find it any time via the quiet Geeks link in the site footer. Admission free — like the software inside.
