Scan a ticket at the door and check the guest in with one tap

Send each buyer a QR code with their order. At the door, any phone camera opens the order, and one tap checks the guest in.

Released 13 October 2026

Every order can now carry a QR code, so your door team scans a ticket instead of typing it.

What's new

  • A QR code for every order — an Auto Flow that starts on a store order can send the order's QR code as an image, with the order number in the caption. Set a Send media step's link to {{var.order_qr_url}}.
  • Scan to open the order — any phone camera opens the order in WA.cr. Your door team signs in once before doors open.
  • One-tap check-in — on an order with an event code, Check in marks it Completed and tags the guest as checked in for that event.
  • No second entry — scanning a used ticket says when it was checked in.

Worth knowing

  • Store order triggers come with plans that include store integrations (WooCommerce or Shopify), so sending the QR code needs one of those plans. Without it, your door team can still look the order number up in Orders and check the guest in.
  • The QR image goes out in the chat while the 24-hour reply window is open. Outside it, your ticket template sends the order number instead.
  • The QR code holds only a link to the order, never the guest's name or number. Opening it needs a team member's sign-in.
  • One order admits everyone on it: a four-ticket order checks in once.
