Pause a live ad without leaving WA.cr
A published ad now has a Pause button beside it — one click switches the campaign, ad set and ad off, delivery stops, and publishing takes it live again whenever you are ready.
Publishing an ad used to be a door that only opened one way: WA.cr could start your ad spending and had no way to stop it. Now it does.
What's new
- Pause, on any live ad — in Marketing → Create an ad, under the composer and beside every live ad in Your ads. One click, no confirmation to sit through: when you want to stop spending, you want to stop spending.
- All three levels go off, campaign first — an ad only delivers while the campaign and ad set above it are on, so the campaign is switched off first and delivery stops there. The ad set and the ad follow.
- Nothing is thrown away — a paused ad goes back to Ready — paused, exactly where it sat before you published it. Publish takes the same ad live again; nothing is rebuilt, and you do not rewrite anything.
- You are told what happened to your money — if the pause cannot finish, we say whether your ad has already stopped delivering or may still be running, instead of leaving you to guess. Meta Ads Manager still works as the fallback, and always will.
Still true
Publishing is still the only step that can spend anything, and it still asks you to confirm. Saving a draft and creating an ad cost nothing — everything is built at Meta paused.
Pausing keeps working even when creating does not. If your Marketing add-on lapses, or your workspace is set to read-only, you can still stop a live ad. Only starting one is gated — a brake that switches itself off is not a brake.
