Removing a WhatsApp number is now safer

Removing a connected WhatsApp number is no longer a single click — it now asks for a verification code, is limited to the workspace owner, and lets you keep your conversations.

What's new

• Owner-only — only the workspace owner can remove a number. Teammates who can manage channels can still rename or set a default, but removing a number is reserved to the owner.
• A verification code — before a number is removed, we send a code to the owner's WhatsApp that has to be entered to confirm — so it can't happen by accident or by someone else.
• A clear heads-up — the confirmation spells out what happens: the number stops sending and receiving straight away, and using it again means reconnecting it through WhatsApp.
• Keep your chats — your message history is always kept. You can also choose to archive the number's conversations, so they drop out of your inbox but stay readable under Archived.
