Choose what buzzes your phone
Mobile notifications are no longer all-or-nothing. Set them for the whole workspace, for a single line, and for your own phone — and keep quiet while you're already at the console.
Released 19 August 2026
Until now the mobile app was one switch on each phone: everything, or nothing. There is now a Notifications page in every workspace, so a busy line can stay silent without silencing the rest of your work.
What's new
- A policy for the workspace. Owners and managers can turn mobile notifications off for everyone, or off for a single line — so a high-volume Support number stops buzzing phones while Sales keeps notifying. Find it under Settings → Notifications.
- Your own switches, per workspace. If you work in more than one business, you can silence one and keep the others notifying. You can silence a single line the same way, and any line you haven't touched simply follows your choice for that workspace.
- Stay quiet while you're at the console. Switch this on and your phone stays silent whenever you have that workspace open in a browser — no double alert for a message you're already reading. It starts notifying again a couple of minutes after you close the tab or switch away.
- One switch for every workspace at once. Your account's notification preferences now include a Mobile app column. Turning it off there silences your phone everywhere, without visiting each workspace.
Worth knowing
- Nothing changed on its own. Every switch starts on, so your notifications work exactly as they did until you turn something off.
- Your phone still has the final say. Each handset has its own switch, in the app's settings and in Settings → Devices. A phone switched off there gets nothing, whatever these pages say.
- Assigned conversations are unchanged. A conversation assigned to someone still only notifies that person, and you only ever get notifications for lines you can see.
