Know the moment an order is paid for
A new order announced itself, but the payment for it did not — you had to open the order and check. Payment now arrives as a notice of its own, by email and in your notifications.

A new order announced itself. The payment for it did not. An order landing sent a notification round straight away, but the moment that actually decides whether you can act on it — the customer paying — passed in silence. The only way to find out was to open the order and look, which meant either checking far more often than there were payments to find, or leaving an order that was paid for and ready to pack sitting there while nobody knew.
What's new
Payment now arrives as a notice of its own, by email and in your notifications list. It carries the order reference, who paid and how much, and takes you straight to the order so you can start getting it out.
It is worded differently from the notice announcing a new order — "Payment received" rather than "New order" — so a glance is enough to tell the two apart in a busy inbox.
Who gets it
It behaves like every other notification. It is on to begin with, and anyone who would rather not have it can switch it off for themselves in their notification preferences, without affecting what anyone else receives.
Payment notices go by email and to your in-app notifications, not over WhatsApp. The notice for a new order already reaches you there as the order lands, and one arrival on WhatsApp per order is enough.
