Booking confirmations and reminders now reach your customers
If your Notifications step showed a WhatsApp number but you never changed the dropdown, confirmations and reminders for bookings taken outside a chat were silently skipped. They now send from the number the step shows you.
Released 3 September 2026
Bookings taken on your booking page, in the diary or through the API now send their WhatsApp confirmation and reminder from the number your Notifications step displays.
What's new
- The number you were shown is the number that sends — the Notifications step has always displayed the number your booking messages come from, falling back to your default WhatsApp number when you had not picked one. It only remembered that choice if you actually changed the dropdown, so a workspace already looking at the right number saved nothing and every message was quietly skipped. Both halves now agree.
- Reminders too — a booking taken outside a chat has no conversation to reply on, so its reminder was dropped for exactly the same reason. It now sends.
- One number is enough — if your workspace has a single WhatsApp number the step doesn't ask you to choose, so there was nothing you could have done. That number now sends.
- Nothing changes if you did pick a number — your choice is still used exactly as before, and a workspace with no verified WhatsApp number still sends nothing.
Confirmations for bookings taken outside a chat go out as your approved template, which is a paid WhatsApp message. The "Send a WhatsApp confirmation for every booking" switch in the Notifications step still controls whether they send at all.
