Create a WhatsApp ad without leaving WA.cr

Until now WA.cr could only read your ad results. Now it can make the ad — and it builds it paused, so nothing is spent until you say so.

What's new

• Marketing → Create an ad — a new tab on the Ads hub. Write a Meta ad whose button opens a WhatsApp chat with you, using the number you choose.
• Help me write this ad — describe what you're advertising in a sentence and get three versions of the ad text, three headlines and a suggested audience. Every suggestion is a button; nothing goes into the form unless you press it, and you can edit anything afterwards.
• Three steps, and only one spends — Save draft keeps it here. Create builds everything at Meta, paused. Publish turns it on. Meta charges nothing for a paused ad, so the first two steps cost you nothing at all.
• Publishing asks twice — an accidental publish is real money, so it takes a confirmation.
• A budget you set, in your own currency — the most Meta may spend in a day, with a workspace ceiling behind it so a slipped decimal can't run away. If Meta refuses the amount, we show you Meta's own wording rather than guessing at it.
• If it stops half-way, it picks up where it stopped — building an ad at Meta is five steps. If one fails, we keep everything already built, tell you which step stopped, and Resume carries on from there. It never starts again from the beginning, so a retry can't leave you with two campaigns.

What you'll need

Reading your results needs one share with our Business Manager. Creating an ad needs two:

• Your ad account at Advertiser level. The connect wizard asks for View performance (Analyst), which can read but can't create. If that's how you connected, raise our access on that ad account to Advertiser in Meta Business Settings.
• The Facebook Page the ad runs as, shared separately. A click-to-WhatsApp ad is posted by a Page, so we need that share too.

If either is missing, Create tells you exactly which one and what to do — and stops before anything is made.

Still true

We don't touch your ad account on our own. WA.cr only creates, changes or spends when you use Create an ad yourself; connecting an account for reporting stays read-only, as it always has been. To pause or change an ad after it's live, use Meta Ads Manager.
