See your Instagram quick-reply buttons in the inbox
The tappable buttons you send on Instagram now show under the message in your own inbox, and when a customer taps one, their reply shows the question it answered.
When you send an Instagram message with quick-reply buttons, you now see those buttons in your own inbox too — and when a customer taps one, their reply shows the question it answered.
What's new
- The buttons show under your message — your customer taps the buttons on their phone, but until now your own inbox showed only the text, with no sign of what you'd offered. The buttons now appear as small chips beneath the message (including the built-in Share phone number and Share email prompts) so you can see exactly what the customer was asked. They're a read-only receipt here — the live, tappable version is on the customer's Instagram app.
- A tap now shows what it answered — when a customer taps one of your buttons, their reply used to arrive on its own with no sign of the question. It now shows with the original message quoted above it, just like a normal reply — so you can tell at a glance which question each answer belongs to.
