See what renting a number gets you, before you sign in

A new page on wa.cr walks through renting a business number — the channels it carries, the countries we cover, the starting price and how rent is billed with your plan.

Released 28 July 2026

There is now a page that explains number rental end to end — what one rented number can carry, where we have numbers, what they start at, and exactly how the rent is billed.

What's new

  • One number, every channel — the page shows what a rented number does for you today (register it for WhatsApp Business, and have signup and OTP calls forwarded to your mobile) and what is on the way (SMS and Voice Calls), each clearly marked, with a small example of what each one looks like in use.
  • Live starting prices — each country shows what its numbers start at, read from the pool itself rather than a figure typed on a page, so it matches what you will see in the picker. Some numbers also carry a one-time setup cost, and the page says so — you always see the exact amount before you confirm.
  • India, the US, the UK, the UAE and Australia — the countries you can rent in, with more on the way. Australia has also been added to the number picker in your console.
  • The billing, in plain words — how the first charge is worked out pro-rata to your plan's renewal date, what happens on a yearly plan, and how rent renews with your plan from your wallet afterwards.

You will find it at wa.cr/feature/rental-numbers, linked from the site footer and the WhatsApp features page.
