Settings has a list down the side instead of three rows of tabs
The nineteen Settings tabs that wrapped onto three lines are now a grouped list beside the page, with a box to search them — and four setup pages have moved to the section that uses them.
Settings used to open with three rows of tabs before the page itself began. It now opens with the page, and the panels sit in a grouped list beside it.
What's new
- Five groups instead of one long row — Workspace, People, Messaging, Connections and Developer. The panel you are on is highlighted, so you can see where you are without reading nineteen words.
- A "Find a setting" box — type a few letters and the list narrows. It matches the group name too, so "people" brings back Team, Roles and Devices.
- Every page starts at the top — the heading is now the name of the panel you opened, rather than the word "Settings" repeated on all of them.
- Two clearer names — "Members" is now Team, and "Maps" is now Google Maps key, so it is not confused with the Integrations catalogue two rows above it. Searching for the old words still finds them.
- On a narrower screen the list becomes a single row you can swipe along, and it opens on the panel you are looking at.
Four setup pages moved
These four were Settings pages that only ever mattered to one part of the console, so they now sit with it:
- Lifecycle stages → Contacts
- Ads settings → Ads
- WhatsApp Orders setup → Orders
- Appointments setup → Appointments
Their web addresses have not changed, so a bookmark or a link a colleague sent you still opens the right page.
