Set guardrails for your Meta Business Agent
Give the AI that answers on your number a few rules it follows in every reply — what never to quote, what never to promise — in one plain text box.

Your Meta Business Agent now takes a short list of rules it follows in every reply, whatever the customer asks.
What's new
- One box, plain words. Open the agent's Skills tab and type your rules in the Guardrails card — for example, "Never quote a price that isn't in our price list." One rule per line works best.
- Applied everywhere. The AI reads your guardrails on every customer message, alongside your skills.
- Easy to change. Edit and save any time; empty the box and save to remove them.
Worth knowing
- An instruction, not a hard block. The AI follows your guardrails closely, but no AI is perfect — try a few questions in the Test tab after you save.
- Keep your knowledge in line. If an FAQ, website or file still shows a price your rules forbid, correct it there too, so the AI never gets mixed signals.
- Going live still needs a skill. Your guardrails don't count as the one skill the agent needs before it answers everyone.
