First & last names, and an auto-detected country on every contact

Contacts now have separate first and last name fields alongside the display name, and each one carries a country that fills itself in automatically — with a new Country column and audience filter.

Your contacts now hold a first name, a last name and a display name as three separate fields — and every contact gets a country that fills itself in automatically, so you can group and target people by where they are.

What's new

  • Separate first and last names. A contact now has a First name and Last name of its own, in addition to the Display name. Fill in the two and the display name writes itself; type a different display name any time you want a custom label.
  • A country on every contact — filled in for you. Each contact carries a country, worked out automatically from their phone number or WhatsApp ID. You can override it by hand, and clearing your override hands it back to auto-detection.
  • A new Country column and filter. Add Country to the contacts table to see it at a glance (with a small flag), and use it in audience rules so a broadcast can target, say, everyone in a specific country.
  • Import and export understand the new fields. Your CSV import can map First name and Last name columns (it even guesses them from the headers), and exports include them — so the details survive a round-trip.
  • Better address location lookup. When you use Find coordinates on a contact's address, it now stays in the contact's country and falls back to a broader match if an exact one isn't found — so a partial address still lands a pin instead of coming up empty.
