A booking link for one person, or one place

Put a person's or a venue's handle on the end of your booking link and the page opens on their diary, skips the questions it has already answered, and books that person — not whoever else happens to be free.

Your booking link could already name a service. It can now name the person and the place as well — so the card one stylist hands out opens on that stylist's times, and books them.

What's new

  • Name a person. yourshop.wa.cr/book?staff=priya shows only what Priya does and only when Priya is free. The booking goes to her, not to whoever else was free at that minute.
  • Name a place. yourshop.wa.cr/book?venue=the-clinic fixes where it happens, so the customer is never asked "how would you like to connect?" — that question is already answered.
  • Or all three at once. yourshop.wa.cr/book/hair-cut?staff=priya&venue=the-clinic goes straight to the times for that service, with that person, at that place.

The words after ?staff= and ?venue= are the same handles the rest of your setup uses — you will find them beside each person and each venue in Settings → Appointments. They are fixed when the row is created and survive a rename, so a card printed today keeps working.

Worth knowing

  • The page says who and where at the top, so the customer can see the link was heard rather than wondering which step went missing.
  • A link is not a list. Nobody can browse your team from your booking page — there is still no staff picker, and someone has to know the handle to use it. Naming a person is your decision to make, link by link.
  • A link that names somebody who has left shows "page not found" rather than quietly booking the customer with someone else. The same goes for a pairing that cannot happen, like a service that person does not perform. If someone leaves, re-issue the links that named them — or drop the ?staff= part and the link works for everyone again.
  • These links stay out of search results. They are for handing out — on a card, in a reply, on a QR code — while your plain booking page is the one that gets found. Your ordinary yourshop.wa.cr/book link is unchanged.
  • Nothing changes unless you use one. Every existing link behaves exactly as it did, offering every time anyone qualified is free.
