Interactive buttons and lists

Add reply buttons, list menus or link buttons so customers can tap to respond.

Interactive messages let customers tap instead of type, which makes replies faster and your chats easier to handle.

Steps

  1. Open the conversation or template you're building.
  2. Find the interactive option in the message box.
  3. Choose the type you want.
  4. Add your message text.
  5. Fill in the button labels or list options.
  6. Send it, or save it as a template.

The three types

Reply buttons give the customer a few quick choices to tap. List menus show a longer set of options in a tidy menu. Call-to-action URL buttons open a link, such as your website or a payment page.

Choosing the right one

Use reply buttons for short either/or choices, lists for several options like product categories, and a link button when you want to send someone to a web page.

If it doesn't work

  • If a button won't save, check every button has a label.
  • If you're sending outside the 24-hour window, build the interactive message as an approved template.
  • If a link button fails, confirm the web address is complete and correct.
