Take a payment

Send a payment request in the chat so customers pay without leaving WhatsApp.

You can collect money inside the conversation, so customers pay through a payment request and you see when it is settled.

Steps

  1. Open the customer's chat in your inbox.
  2. Tap the payment option in the composer.
  3. Enter the amount, such as ₹499.
  4. Add a short note for the order.
  5. Press Send to share the payment request.
  6. Wait for the customer to pay in chat.
  7. Check the chat to see it marked as paid.

See whether it's paid

After you send a payment request, WA.cr shows whether the customer has paid. A clear paid status saves you from chasing or asking twice, and keeps the whole order in one thread.

If it doesn't work

  • If the payment option is missing, confirm payments are set up for your business.
  • If the customer can't pay, ask them to reopen the request in WhatsApp.
  • If the status stays unpaid, wait a moment and refresh the chat.
