Report a problem with a screenshot
Send our support team a screenshot of what went wrong. Typed fields and phone numbers are hidden before it leaves your screen, and you can hide or crop anything else.
A screenshot shows the team exactly what you saw. Report a problem takes one for you, hides anything private first, and lets you check it before it's sent.
Send a report
- Open Help (click the Help tab on the right edge of the screen, or press ?) and choose Report a problem. If a page crashed, click Tell us what you were doing on the "Something went wrong" screen instead; the error is filled in for you.
- Help takes a screenshot of the page as you see it, without the sidebar or the Help panel.
- Look over the preview. Hide or crop anything you'd rather not share (see below).
- Write what you were doing when it went wrong, and choose how we should reply: Email or WhatsApp.
- Click Send report. You get a reference, such as WA-R-7K3Q9P.
The report shows in Your requests, marked Report, and Screenshot attached if one went with it. Only our support team can open the screenshot.
What's hidden for you
Before the screenshot leaves your screen, these are painted over with solid boxes you can't remove:
- every text box, dropdown and editable area, whatever is typed in it;
- every phone number on the page;
- pictures that can't be checked for private details, such as documents, signatures, videos and previews.
Checkboxes and switches stay visible. Some pictures, such as photos in a conversation, show as blank. If something can't be painted over safely, the screenshot isn't taken and your report goes without it.
Hide or crop more
- Hide another area: drag over the preview to paint over anything else. Do it as often as you like. Each area is listed, and you can remove it again.
- Crop to area: drag over the part that shows the problem. Everything outside it is left out. Reset crop brings the whole page back.
- No mouse? Use Add a box in the middle and Keep the middle.
- Retake takes a fresh screenshot. Don't attach sends the report without one.
Sent with your message confirms what goes, for example Screenshot: Attached, cropped, 1 area hidden.
If you asked for a WhatsApp reply
Our reply starts with the screenshot you sent, so you can see straight away which problem it's about. The same reply shows under the request in Your requests. To add anything, send a new request from Help.
