Get help without leaving the console

Open Help beside any page to find the right guide, message our support team, or report a problem, and see every reply in one place.

Help opens as a panel next to the page you're on, so you can read the steps and follow them at the same time. It starts with guides for that page, and if a guide isn't enough, our support team is one form away.

Open Help

  • Click the Help tab on the right edge of the screen. It's on every page of your workspace.
  • Or click your name at the foot of the sidebar, then Help.
  • Or press ? anywhere you aren't typing. You can switch this key off in Account › Keyboard shortcuts.
  • Or press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows), type "help", and choose Open help, Message support or Report a problem.
  • When an error says contact support, click it. Help opens with that error already filled in.
  • On a phone, open the menu, then tap Help. The panel covers the page; close it to get back.

Press ? again, Esc or ✕ to close Help. You land back where you were.

Fix it yourself first

The Search help box lists a few guides for the page you're on, such as Inbox, Channels or Billing. If you came from an error, guides that match it come first.

Start typing and it shows the best matches as you type. Small spelling mistakes are fine. Guides open in a new tab, so your work stays put. Esc clears what you typed.

Message our support team

  1. Choose Message support, or Still stuck? Tell the team under a search.
  2. Write what you were trying to do. A sentence or two is enough.
  3. Under Reply by, choose Email or WhatsApp. WhatsApp needs a verified number in your account settings; if you haven't added one, that choice is greyed out.
  4. Check Sent with your message. It lists everything that goes with your note: your workspace, the page, any error, what you searched for, your name and role, and your browser. Phone numbers in any of it are masked. Nothing you typed into the page is sent.
  5. Click Send to support. You get a reference, such as WA-S-7K3Q9P. Keep it if you want to follow up.

You can send up to ten messages and reports a day in each workspace.

Read our replies

Your requests in Help lists what you've sent from this workspace, newest first, with its reference and status: Open, Answered or Closed.

  • By email, we reply to the email address on your profile.
  • By WhatsApp, our reply arrives from WA.cr's number. It starts with a picture: the screenshot you sent with a problem report, or a plain illustration if you didn't send one. Then it names your reference and gives our answer. The same reply also shows under the request in Your requests, marked Support replied.

To add something after a WhatsApp reply, send a new request from Help. Replies to that WhatsApp message don't reach the team.
